Copying the masters is hands-down the best way to learn contour, hatching, and other types of mark-making.  It's an excellent way to get to become more familiar with your materials.  As many times as I copy the masters, I never stop learning this way.  In these lessons, I will lead you through an easy and effective method of copying master drawings in charcoal.
